Always Best Care

Albuquerque Senior Care We Recommend

Care That Started With a Family’s Own Story

When Darlene Wood’s family needed help caring for someone they loved, she experienced firsthand just how much the right care team can mean. Today, that experience helps drive her mission at Always Best Care of Albuquerque & Rio Rancho.

Before She Was an Owner, She Was Family

Before She Was a Franchise Owner, She Was a Family Member Who Needed Help

In 2012, Darlene Wood’s brother was diagnosed with terminal cancer.

Like countless families in Albuquerque, Darlene suddenly found herself seeing caregiving from a completely different perspective—not as an industry, but as something deeply personal.
During her brother’s illness, a home-care team helped support him and the family members walking alongside him. The experience left a lasting impression.
Darlene saw that great care isn’t simply about completing a list of tasks.
It’s about supporting an entire family through a season they may never have been prepared to navigate.
That experience ultimately helped inspire Darlene to become involved in senior care herself.

National Resources. Local Accountability.

A Local Owner, Not Just a National Brand

When you invite someone into your home to care for your mother, father, spouse or another person you love, the logo on the caregiver’s shirt isn’t the only thing that matters.
Leadership matters.
That’s one reason FaithTuned Alliance recommends getting to know the person behind the Albuquerque organization.
Darlene isn’t simply managing a territory from somewhere else. She’s a New Mexico resident, UNM graduate, former teacher and local business owner whose own family experience helped lead her into senior care.

Care That Comes From Personal Experience

Local Leadership With a Heart for Service

Support That Can Grow With Your Family’s Needs

🏠 In-Home Care

Companionship, personal care, meal preparation, transportation, mobility assistance and other support can help older adults remain safely and independently at home.

🩺 Skilled Home Health

When medical care is needed at home, the Albuquerque operation offers skilled services including nursing, physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy, along with other clinical services.

Senior Living Guidance

Sometimes staying at home is no longer the best solution. Always Best Care also helps families explore senior-living options when a different level or setting of care is appropriate.

🔥 The Mother of All Fundraisers: What If Fundraising Could Fund the Future?

🚨 WHAT IF FUNDRAISING DIDN’T HAVE TO FEEL LIKE FUNDRAISING?

Something BIG is happening with FaithTuned.

On September 6, FaithTuned Radio officially relaunches with a renewed mission to help people Discover Peace. Discover Purpose. But the radio is only one piece of a much larger vision.

Through FaithTuned Alliance, we’re building toward something bigger: expanding our community platform, creating new educational and career opportunities, developing resources that connect people with meaningful opportunities, growing our media outreach, and ultimately laying the foundation for some very ambitious ministry and community projects.

And all of that takes funding.

So we went looking for a better way to raise it.

What we discovered has us asking a pretty bold question:

🔥 Did we just find the Mother of All Fundraisers?

This isn’t another fundraiser where you ask people to buy overpriced products they don’t really want.

It isn’t selling candy bars.

It isn’t collecting donations over and over.

And organizations don’t need a pile of money just to get started.

Instead, we’ve discovered a cutting-edge model built around high-quality, highly desirable everyday products—combined with a structure designed to potentially create recurring income month after month.

That changes the fundraising conversation completely.

Instead of asking:

“How much can we raise this weekend?”

We can start asking:

“What if the fundraiser could keep producing?”

🤯

FaithTuned is preparing to put this model to work as we raise capital for our next exciting phase of growth.

But here’s what makes us even more excited…

This isn’t just about FaithTuned.

Imagine what this could mean for:

🏫 Schools
⛪ Churches & ministries
🏀 Sports teams
❤️ Nonprofits
🎓 Student organizations
🤝 Community groups
🚀 Entrepreneurs and organizations needing capital

If you’re trying to fund a mission, project, program, expansion, team, organization—or simply looking for a new way to generate ongoing revenue—you need to see what we’ve discovered.

We’re going to pull back the curtain and show exactly what we’re doing, why we believe the timing is so significant, and how others may be able to use the same model.

🔥 THE MOTHER OF ALL FUNDRAISERS

Come see what we discovered.

Home Health & Senior Care Services in Albuquerque, New Mexico

Finding the right care for yourself or an aging family member can feel overwhelming. FaithTuned Alliance is building a local resource designed to help Albuquerque families understand their options, discover helpful services, and connect with organizations that support seniors at home.

Preserving your freedom of independence

Understanding Home Care Options in Albuquerque

Not all care provided in the home is the same. One of the most important first steps is understanding what type of assistance your loved one may need.
Non-medical home care can provide support with activities of daily living, companionship, personal care, meal preparation, transportation, light housekeeping, and other services that help seniors remain independent at home.
Skilled home health care generally involves clinical services ordered by a healthcare provider and may include skilled nursing, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, and other medically necessary services delivered in the patient’s home.
For Albuquerque families, understanding this difference can make it much easier to determine which type of provider to contact.

Helping Albuquerque Seniors Age Safely at Home

For many older adults, remaining in their own home is an important part of maintaining independence and quality of life. However, changes in mobility, balance, health, or daily living abilities can create new challenges.

That is why senior care should involve more than simply responding when something goes wrong. Families can also explore fall prevention, home safety, mobility support, caregiver assistance, rehabilitation, and community resources that may help older adults remain safer and more confident at home.

Home Health & Senior Care FAQs

Get answers to common questions about home care, skilled home health, Medicare, caregivers, fall prevention, and senior services in Albuquerque.

Start by identifying the type and amount of assistance your loved one needs, such as help with bathing, dressing, meals, transportation, companionship, or mobility. You can then compare Albuquerque home care providers based on services offered, caregiver qualifications, availability, costs, and whether they can accommodate your family’s schedule and care needs.

Medicare may cover certain home health services when eligibility requirements are met, including qualifying skilled nursing, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech-language pathology, and other services. Medicare generally does not cover ongoing custodial or personal care when that is the only care needed. Families should verify current eligibility and coverage directly with Medicare and the home health provider.

Skilled home health services typically require an order and plan of care from an authorized healthcare provider, along with other eligibility requirements depending on the payer. If you believe you or a family member may benefit from skilled home health care, speaking with the person’s physician or healthcare provider is a good place to start.

Fall prevention can include removing tripping hazards, improving lighting, installing grab bars or handrails, reviewing medications with healthcare professionals, and addressing changes in strength, balance, or mobility. FaithTuned Alliance can also help you schedule a free session with one of our partners offering a Balance Tracker program. This screening can help assess balance, measure potential fall risk, and identify whether additional support or evaluation may be beneficial.

Albuquerque families may have access to home care agencies, senior centers, respite services, transportation programs, meal assistance, caregiver education, support groups, aging-related community programs, and government resources. The right resources depend on the senior’s health, mobility, finances, living situation, and level of assistance needed.

Common signs include difficulty preparing meals, missed medications, declining personal hygiene, frequent falls or near-falls, trouble walking, an increasingly unsafe or cluttered home, social isolation, or difficulty completing everyday activities. Changes in memory, health, or mobility should also be discussed with an appropriate healthcare professional. Getting support early may help older adults remain safer and more independent at home.

Occupational Therapist Opportunity — Grow With Us in Albuquerque & Rio Rancho

Are you an Occupational Therapist who enjoys what you’re currently doing but wouldn’t mind making some extra income on the side?

We’re looking for an Occupational Therapist to work with us on a PRN basis as we continue growing our skilled home care services throughout Albuquerque and Rio Rancho, New Mexico.

This opportunity is especially well suited for an OT who already has a full-time or part-time position and isn’t looking to leave it. Instead, you can pick up occasional evaluations and visits, earn additional income, and become part of an awesome company while our skilled care census continues to grow.

Why This Opportunity Is Different

We’re building something—and this is an opportunity to get involved early.

Right now, our need is PRN. As our skilled home care census grows, however, so will our need for Occupational Therapy services. The OT who comes alongside us during this stage will already know our team, our patients, and how we operate when we reach the point where consistent part-time or full-time OT support is needed.

That means you’re not simply picking up extra work. You’re putting yourself in an excellent position to be among the first considered for expanded opportunities as we grow.

This could be a great fit if you:

• Are a licensed Occupational Therapist in New Mexico
• Already have a job you enjoy and want additional PRN income
• Want flexibility without committing to another full-time position
• Enjoy working with patients in the home setting
• Like the idea of helping develop and grow a skilled home care program
• Would be interested in greater opportunities as our census expands

📍 Service Area: Albuquerque & Rio Rancho, New Mexico
🩺 Position: Occupational Therapist
Schedule: PRN / Flexible
🚀 Growth Potential: Opportunity for expanded hours as our skilled census grows

Get in early. Help us grow. Make some extra income—and position yourself for what comes next.
